Fossil diatomaceous earth, a natural soil improver and activator with a high silicon content.

Strengthens plant tissues and improves resistance to stress and pests (silicon, Si).
Neutralizes toxic elements and excess soil acidity.
Improves water retention and nutrient availability; releases phosphorus in the soil.
Natural pesticidal action against a range of harmful insects.
Avoid applying close to bloom.

Drip irrigation, in-furrow, or banded at the base of the plant.
Timing: late winter/early spring, for both the protective and the nutritional function. Avoid applying close to bloom (on apple and pear, risk of fruit staining).
