Assisted pollination for orchards: the Zimex method from Chile to Europe with mirtoxp

Kordia cherry: almost 40% more yield per tree.

The problem

Kordia is a premium variety, but it is sensitive to bloom conditions. Erratic springs and a shortage of pollinators reduce fruit set and make yields unpredictable from one year to the next.

The solution

Certified Mirto pollen applied together with Vericet during bloom, under real field weather conditions.

The result

+39.7% yield per tree compared with the untreated control. (Field trial by the University of Bologna in Italy, commissioned by Zimex and co-funded by Corfo, 2025)
